Google Drive, released in April 2012, is a file storage and synchronization service provided by Google which enables user cloud storage, file sharing and collaborative editing. Google Drive is also the home of Google Docs, a suite of productivity applications that offer collaborative editing on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. This session will explore the Google Drive environment and the essentials of Google Drive and Google Docs to facilitate paperless classrooms. It will give you the necessary skills to facilitate collaboration and sharing in your classes. We'll also explore Google Docs features such as providing feedback on students' written work and creating and using Google Forms to collect information from students (e.g. formative assessment or pre-existing knowledge on learning topics). Bring your iPad or laptop for hands on experience.
