Dr. Loewenstein is the founding director of Omaha Virtual School with Omaha Public Schools, which opened fall 2016. She joined Omaha Public Schools in 2015 as an instructional technology trainer. Previously, Wendy worked at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the College of Education as the IDEAS Room Coordinator and a part-time faculty member in the library science department. Prior to working at UNO, she was a high school librarian, elementary school librarian, and a high school English teacher with Bellevue Public Schools.
